"Chore Boyfriend" is a love letter written in the language of hip-hop, imbued with the passion of blues & house music. "It sounds like my city in the summertime," says the Chicago rapper, whose prolific work ethic in recent years has cemented his reputation as an underground phenom and a leader on Chicago's north side.

Recorded at Second Bedroom Studio in the first half of 2017, "Chore Boyfriend" is intended as an homage to the feminine - an exploration of the new world within one's self that can only be unlocked by a budding love. Don't get it twisted - there's some serious bars, tho. The 13-track studio LP includes features from a wide array of Chicago musical & vocal talent; all sourced from within #BelovedGang's ranks (the 250+ member artistic collective spearheaded by the rapper). It is the first in the series of three albums planned by Chore Boy dealing with the thematic narrative of love.

"Boyfriend" was executive produced by gifted musician/composer Brad Kemp, who owns Chicago's Second Bedroom Studio and handled the lion's share of production for the project (all but the beat for Track 2, 'Picture of My Girl'). Live instrumentation was provided by Kemp (keys and bass), saxophonist Kevin Miller, and cellist Eric Lewis-Baker. Artwork by Raphael Valenti.
